"UNCOUNTED"
DEBUT IN PENNSYLVANIA STATE CAPITOL JUNE 16!
Screening
in East Wing Rotunda Marks a Nationwide First
Event Co-sponsored
by VotePA, Common Cause / Pennsylvania, and the League of Women
Voters of Pennsylvania
With Pennsylvania shaping up
as one of the crucial swing states in the upcoming November presidential
election, can we be sure that every vote will be counted accurately?
Are we certain that every eligible citizen will have access to
the ballot box? Will our elections truly reflect the will of
the people and inspire confidence in American democracy?
These and many other questions
are explored in the explosive new documentary film UNCOUNTED:
The New Math of American Elections to be screened at 7 PM
June 16 in the East Wing Rotunda of our own Pennsylvania Capitol
building. The showing is free and open to the public.
Co-sponsored by VotePA, Common
Cause Pennsylvania, and the League of Women Voters of Pennsylvania,
this screening of UNCOUNTED in our Pennsylvania Capitol marks
the film's first-ever appearance in any legislative hall nationwide.
Of particular importance is that June 16 is scheduled to be a
regular voting day for both the Pennsylvania House and Senate,
and lawmakers and their staff are especially invited to attend.
VotePA Executive Director Marybeth
Kuznik, an Inspector of Elections from Westmoreland County PA,
is featured in the film as she addresses the 2005 national conference
on election reform in Nashville TN, and is interviewed regarding
Pennsylvania's problems with one electronic voting machine that
resulted in the loss of 10,000 votes in three counties during
the 2004 presidential election. She will be present to introduce
the film at the Capitol Complex screening, and will lead audience
members in a question and answer session following the movie.

VotePA has been working hard
to carry the message that we need open, accessible and accurate
voting in Pennsylvania. And a great election integrity film like
UNCOUNTED, shown right in our state capitol building while the
General Assembly is in session, will be an awesome opportunity
to alert both lawmakers and regular citizens about the dangers
facing our right to vote.
But WE NEED YOUR HELP -- now
-- to make the June 16 Pennsylvania Capitol screening of UNCOUNTED
a success.
Please take a moment right
now to send your special "UNCOUNTED" donation to VotePA
to help support the June 16 Capitol screening and our other work coming up this summer.
Your investment will help VotePA do the very best we can
to protect our votes and our voice during this incredibly important
election year.
